Boycott restaurants?
Re: “Progress lost” by Foon Rhee (Editor’s note, Nov. 10):
We really need to start thinking about boycotting the restaurants of these organizations that are demanding the right to stay open and put the rest of us at risk for COVID-19. Apparently, they don’t care if we live or die as long as there are enough remaining patrons for their indoor dining. Truly appalling, they deserve no support from this community.

Truth. Narcissistic, vile, disgusting, liar, racist, misogynist, vengeful just to start and the worst part—his followers are teaching their children to be the same.

The rent board section of the proposal was poorly written. Proponents may want to rethink their preferred mechanism for a future effort. That said, I still voted for it.

Too much power
Re: “Sac County CEO under siege” by Foon Rhee (Editor’s note, Nov. 10):
A totally unacceptable decision to hand over the best part of $180 million to Sheriff [Scott] Jones. Seems quite imprudent for [Nav] Gill to have that much decision-making power. Our county government is still in the dark ages with its good old boy mentality.
