Milk Money returns with a three-day pop-up with first responders in mind
Before the COVID-19 pandemic slowed or shuttered a good portion of Sacramento’s dining options, a new kid on the doughnut block, Milk Money, had vegans covered.
At its R Street location or at various coffee shops around town, Milk Money baked at least one vegan option per day and kept it creative. For those missing vegan sweets, soothe your craving this weekend as Milk Money reopens for a three-day run.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, indulge in its Mangonero, with a chile-spiced mango glaze, or the Redbone, a chocolate-glazed doughnut with both peanut butter drizzle and a peanut topping. Both are vegan, of course.
While Milk Money will allow walk-ups, your best chance is to pre-order by phone or text (916) 247-4301. Orders—a minimum of a half-dozen—are placed and picked up from its service window on 17th Street in the Ice Blocks corridor, allowing proper social distancing of at least six feet.
Plus, calling ahead allows you the option of buying an extra dozen doughnuts for Milk Money’s Sunday delivery dedicated to first responders. Not a bad deal for a day’s doughnuts.
