Artemis & The Messengers have been delivering electrifying performances in the region since the group’s inception in 2021. On Friday, July 11, they’ll bring their dynamic mix of original songs, alternative rock reflections and poppy 80s covers to one of Nevada County’s top performing venues.
Artemis Arthur, a singer with serious range and a recent stand-out in the musical Beehive!, will bolster her line-up that night by adding Dakota Laurie on backing vocals. Laurie is a graduate of Sac State University who’s been singing and acting nonstop lately, appearing in productions that include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and Into The Woods.
The show will open with performance from Aedryan Gantt. He is a long-time resident of Nevada City who’s originally from Seattle. Aedryan, who also plays in a Samba band, is known for his buttery smooth, 4-octave baritone voice and engaging ability to knock-out covers of all genres.
Artemis & The Messengers is comprised of Arthur, bassist Tunde Milliner, guitarist Nate Vallejo and drummer Joey Palermo. Catch their upcoming show in the intimate, cabaret setting of Nevada City’s Off Broadstreet. The performance, which starts at 6:15 p.m., includes a selection of wine and deserts. Tickets can be purchased here.
