Those who like both adult beverages and good movies (me!) wil be happy to learn that Tower Theatre in Land Park (2508 Land Park Drive) plans to soon add beer and wine to its snack bar offerings.

Now in addition to buying some Milk Duds or Red Vines, art house film lovers will be able to choose from a variety of bottled beers as well as wine.

Amanda Ramirez, an assistant manager at the landmark theater, said management was still working out the details.

“Right now we don’t have room for taps but we’ll have eight different beers,” said the theater’s assistant manager Amanda Ramirez.

Notice of the application to sell alcoholic beverages was posted approximately two weeks ago, Ramirez says, and patrons should be able to enjoy libations by the end of March.

So, essentially, one less reason to stay in and binge-watch season four of Friends.
