The reason for the season: Get your holiday drink on with the second annual SN&R's Santa Crawl

If you’re not completely over-holidayed out this weekend (or maybe, more importantly, if you are), then be sure to drink a little cheer on Saturday with the SN&R Santa Crawl 2015.

The weekend before Christmas tends to be my busiest–shopping, parties, so many festivities to the point where it becomes something of a candy cane-striped blur The way I look at it, however, unless you’re a total Scrooge then there’s always room for one more bit of fun. I’ve been so busy all year that it feels like there’s always an excuse not to do the fun thing or see the people I most want to see. But then mid-December rolls around and I find myself overcome with the spirit. Or maybe it’s the distilled spirits, to be exact.

Anyhoo, the second annual SN&R Santa Crawl 2015 should be a fun way to catch up on holiday fun, friends and, yes, drinking.

It runs this Saturday, December 18 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The party starts at the Downtown Ice Rink at St. Rose of Lima Park and hisup various “Santa stops” along the way (see map above).

This year’s participating bars and restaurants are:

  • KBar
  • Sapporo
  • Alley Katz
  • Capital Garage
  • 3 Fires Lounge
  • Streets Pub & Grub
  • The Coconut MIdtown
  • Fedaralist Public House
  • Tequila Museo Mayahuel

Bonus: The first 500 people to show up will get a free gift bag and an official SN&R Santa Crawl Hat.

Best of all, the crawl is not just about drinking, it’s about helping others: All proceeds benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children of Northern California.
