Mark S. Allen charged with second DUI, removed from Good Day Sacramento pending investigation

Bad news over at Good Day.

Roseville police arrested the region’s most famous local TV personality, Mark S. Allen, for DUI earlier this month. This is MSA’s second drving-under-the-influence booking; the previous occurred in 2006.

Allen, star of Good Day Sac and Mark at the Movies, was pulled over late that Friday evening on December 3. His bail was set at $15,000 and he was released after posting bond around 1:30 a.m. on December 4.

Since, Good Day has taken its star off the air. “We take this matter very seriously and are investigating,” Good Day news director John Armand told SN&R.

SN&R featured Allen on its front cover last year. At that time, he told this paper’s writer that his 2006 DUI was “absolutely embarrassing.”

We’ve yet to reach out to MSA for comment.
