A thief stole a wallet from the basket of a woman’s mobility scooter Sunday morning, and then outran the scooter, Sacramento Police Department records show.

The victim was parked in front of a store near Harris and Norwood avenues in north Sacramento when the wallet-snatching occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Logs say the woman tried to stop the 20-something suspect, who escaped on foot, and sustained a minor injury in the process.
