Because I’m a sucker for people-watching weirdness, I volunteered to staff SN&R’s booth during some singles event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento.

Alongside the inimitable “Ask” Joey Garcia, I’ll be handing out coupons (or something) and silently judging people who pretend they’re looking for love at a hotel whose name is ripe for a porn parody title.

I’m not sure what to expect. But considering the event is called “Love Lost + Found,” is being put on by Now 100.5 FM and is FREE, I think it’s safe to deduce there will be wall-to-wall adult contemporary “music” and that I’ll finally find out what happens when good Christian suburban divorcees collide with the creepy Craigslist missed connections crowd.

Forget last Sunday’s lopsided bloodbath. This is the legit Super Bowl.
