Emilee Durbin, singer and songwriter for the band Dogpatch, will be the featured artist at Solving Sacramento’s latest Hangout Gigs Live, which takes place on April 22.
Dogpatch is getting crowds to pack into some of the city’s marquee music venues, while Durbin herself has also been an illustrator for the local performance zine “The Sound of Sacramento.”
During her Tuesday night appearance, Durbin will sit down in The Torch Club and discuss her mesmerizing vocals and unique indie-pop sound with radio personality Nick Brunner, co-host of the podcast “Creativity in the Capital.”
The talk will be part of a live podcast recording. After, Durbin will take the stage and perform some of her songs as the action and audience are captured in the next installment of Hangout Gigs’ music video series.
The Torch Club is one of Sacramento’s most-historic music venues, and its ownership is co-hosting this event with the Solving Sacramento journalism collaborative. This is a 21 and over show, running from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased here. Proceeds help fund media coverage of Sacramento’s arts and entertainment scene.
The Torch Club is located at 904 15th Street.
