Discovery Park turned into a sea of black on Thursday with the annual return of Danny Wimmer’s Aftershock Festival. The four-day event drew a massive crowd of hard rock and metal fans, setting a new record for attendance.  Day 1 opened the festival with 24 bands playing on four separate stages.  Standout performances were given by AFI, The Cult, Incubus and headliner Avenged Sevenfold.
