Sacramento’s most popular alternative-rock band Cake will headline a big summer concert just announced this morning by Radio 94.7.

It goes down Saturday, August 15 in Elverta’s Gibson Ranch County Park, which is just north of North Highlands. Iceland’s indie-folk pop band Of Monsters and Men and British singer-songwriter James Bay are also slated to play, with more artists expected to be announced later on.

There’s not much more information available at this point—here’s the Facebook event page—other than free parking. (YES!) It’s being called “City of Trees Summer Concert Event,” and not a “festival,” but who knows? With that start to a lineup—and allusions to multiple stages—it sure is sounding festival-y.
