Coin-Op opens, brings retro arcade games and dranks to old Marilyn’s on K location

A basement location on K Street is now transformed into an industrial-design bar/nerdy man cave with 42 classic quarter arcade games (think Donkey Kong, Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter and more).

The old Marilyn’s stage is gone. As is the bar; it’s now moved to the middle of the room, in the round (a smart move). Looks like they’ve got about 16-20 beer handles, and a list of drinks, which includes those big ol’ punch bowls and house-made Fireball-style whisky shots. Kitchen looked to be small bites, pizza and by-the-slice.

Game prices are the same as they were 20 years ago. And they have quarter machines, so no need to BYO.

This places should be a popular destination spot. It’s got this “BarWest in a basement with old arcades” thing going on, but it also has this “industrial minimalist hipster Chuck E Cheese” thing, too.

And I’m looking forward to dropping some couch change on Off Road.
