It looks like the Burrito Selection Committee from the America’s Best Burrito bracket agrees with SN&R readers: Chando’s Tacos has the best burrito in Sacramento. Nate Silver is the statistician behind the FiveThirtyEight blog that’s creating the bracket. Last week, he and a team of five others settled on the 64 burrito-selling establishments (BSEs) to make it to the final bracket.
Chando’s is the only eatery from Sacramento that made it. But it’s in a tough first-round group, going against the No. 1 seed in the California region: San Francisco’s El Farolito (yes, California has its own region for the competition). Round one is already underway, which will take the 64 competitors down to 16. Two BSEs in different regions have advanced already.
