It’s actually just called “This.” But that’s weird, so I’m calling it “This Is Midtown” until someone tells me to stop.

I didn’t eat breakfast one day last month and wrote a cranky, decaffeineited diatribe against the nu Second Saturday.

Should’ve waited a few weeks, because a new, free concert series in Midtown promises to channel the SecondSat goodness of yore.

The party is called “This.” Or “This is Midtown.” I can’t tell, based on the Facebook page.

What I do know is that bands like Yacht are playing for free on 20th Street, between J and K, plus deejays, local brew—and weird stuff like a “skim board court.” There’s even the promises of “water slides.” In the middle of the road. However that works out.
