Litterbug leads to smoking fowl in Fair Oaks

We’re conflicted about this one.

A reader sent us this photo after he discarded his smoked cigar in a patch of dirt Thursday morning near Fair Oak’s Plaza Park, where the wild chickens roam. One of the more curious birds picked up the spent stogie and proceeded to strut around like a feathered Edward G. Robinson.

“He started walking all crooked then went and sat in a bush,” the reader recounted in an email. “He smoked it for a good few minutes. Maybe it got stuck on his beak or maybe he liked it, who knows. Maybe he’s even smoked before.”

Now, SN&R doesn’t condone littering, smoking or anthropomorphizing animals. But damn it if this rooster doesn’t look cool with a cigarillo in his beak.

Right, Clint?

OK, maybe not.
