Moderate temperatures ushered in the second day of 2024’s Aftershock Festival at Discovery Park. Fans got a much welcomed break from the high temps that have dominated the festival in prior years. Five Finger Death Punch headlined the Shockwave stage, and singer Ivan Moody gave one young fan an unforgettable experience when he invited him up on stage to watch the band perform. System of a Down guitarist Daron Malakian performed with his other band, Scars on Broadway. Rise Against singer Tim McIlrath got up close and personal with fans when he jumped off stage and made his way out to the barricades to sing with the crowd. Ramone and singer Pela played Ramones’ hits in front of waves of crowd surfers. The Dropkick Murphys gave a raucous performance on the Jack Daniels stage. Actress and singer Juliette Lewis put on some tight leather pants and rocked the Coors Light stage with band The Licks. YouTube performer-turned-singer, Poppy, delighted an army of new fans at the Shockwave stage. Sister trio, The Warning brought their unique blend of alternative rock to the Jack Daniels stage.
