The long-promised bigger, fancier and better Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op is almost here. Today, the co-op announced it will open at 28th and R Street Wednesday, October 12, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

The current store (1900 Alhambra Boulevard) will close at 5 p.m. Sunday, October 9. From Friday through Sunday, everything in the store will be 10 percent off. 

Peep the grocery store’s Facebook page for a full feed of exciting updates and photos. Some tidbits: pizza by the slice, burritos, tacos, sushi, burgers, nitro coffee on tap and scoops of gelato from Devine Gelataria. And, perhaps most importantly, ample parking.
