The perfect 4/20 gift: Stoner metal band Crimson Eye releases new album

What could be better than a new stoner metal record from a local band on 4/20, the holiest of stoner days? Crimson Eye released their self-titled first record today, and perhaps predictably, it’s got the fuzz that your sweet-leaf loving head craves.

The album features nasty, sludged-up tones cut through with bright dueling leads, an excellent mix for stoners in dire need of both heaviness and bitchin’ riffs. Fans of Kyuss, Weedeater, Bongzilla, Khemmis and the local Peace Killers are sure to dig this, and if you aren’t into that sort of thing, well, check it out anyway because it rules.

Listen to the album on their Bandcamp page or through the player above, and catch the band with Castle and the equally local, equally rad Worship of Keres on May 19 at Starlite Lounge.
