Just look at this picture.
Temple Coffee Roasters’ newest location is set to open on Saturday, March 26 at 6 a.m. at 22nd and K Streets, and it looks immaculate. Designed by Temple’s founder Sean Kohmescher, the 2,300 square-foot space features extra high ceilings, 500,000 pennies-as-floor-tiles and antique bikes.
The first 60 people to line up will receive a Temple mug adorned with a sketch of the K Street cafe’s exterior.
More firm details are pouring in. Coffee nerds should note the Kyoto-style cold brew system, Seraphim pour-overs and nitro tap system. Folks with a sweet tooth should note that this will be the first Temple with suggested coffee and dessert pairings, with exclusive treats provided by Sugar Mamma’s Bakery in Carmichael.
As for competition, this Temple is a mere few feet away from the Trade, the co-working space that also serves Blue Bottle coffee. Old Soul at the Weatherstone, the Mill and Pachamama Coffee Cooperative’s wholesale location are all in the near vicinity as well.
