You voted. Artists performed. We partied. And then some people who make our music scene great got some awards.
The big winners at the 24th annual Sacramento Area Music Awards, a.k.a. the Sammies, were Some Fear None, taking home Artist of the Year as well as best in hard rock, and Joe Kye for his EP, Joseph in the Well, as well as best in folk rock. There were also lots of second-time winners, ripe for future Hall of Fame entrances, including Gentleman Surfer, Humble Wolf and Life in 24 Frames.
