CVLT Nation loves area doom

Badass blog and purveyors of general darkness CVLT Nation can’t stop and won’t stop showing serious affection for products of the gaping void that is the Sacramento Valley.

Today, the released their sixth Doom Nation mixtape, a periodical collection of hits from the biggest doom artists in the underground scene, and two area bands made their list: Chrch and Worship of Keres. (Or three area bands, if you want to count Fresno’s Beastmaker—and we should because they absolutely rule.)

The bands stand tall among heavy hitters like Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Bongzilla, With The Dead, Dopethrone and more, so you know CVLT Nation is serious. Give the list a spin at the original post.

Do you need more proof that our metal scene is killing it? Go catch Chrch’s last local show for a while this Friday with King Woman, and in the meantime, check out the debut EP from Worship of Keres here.
