Greta Gerwig announced as keynote speaker for Emerge Summit 2016

Actress and Sacramento native Greta Gerwig has been announced as a keynote speaker for the Emerge Summit scheduled for Friday, March 18.


Gerwig, born and raised in Sacramento, is best-known for her work in quirky indie films such as Frances Ha and Mistress America. She’s been nominated for a Golden Globe Award (among many others) and is set to make her solo directing debut with Lady Bird, a film that will tell the story of a young woman’s (Brooklyn’s Saoirse Ronan) last year spent in Sacramento.

Emerge Summit is an event organized by the Sacramento Metro Chamber, with support from Metro EDGE. It’s described as “a collaborative effort of the organizing leadership of 10 regional young professional programs.”


Other featured speakers include Jay Sales, Innovation Strategist and Co-Lead at The Shop, VSP Global as well as Rob Stewart, host of PBS’s Rob on the Road.
