There’s no glowing sign outside Skybox Grill & Bar, and sure enough, Midtown’s “farm-to-fork sports bar” is no more. 

The space at 2110 L Street was MVP Sports Grill before the owners retooled the concept and changed the name last May. While still playing UFC matches and selling $2 tall cans of PBR, Skybox ramped up its dinner menu with vegan and vegetarian options, made from farmers market produce.

Apparently it didn’t catch on. No one answered Skybox’s phone this morning, but its business page on Yelp confirms that the closure is, indeed, permanent.
