Update: Bows and Arrows to reopen as, uh, Bows and Arrows

Last week we reported that Bows and Arrows, the already-missed Midtown cafe/boutique/art gallery/performing arts space, was re-opening in March as a  Witch Room, a music and dance venue.

That’s true, but also not quite true.

Bows & Arrows owner Trisha Rhomberg emailed to clarify the situation:

“Bows and Arrows is not closed and re-opening as Witch House,” she wrote. :”[It] will be re-opening in a new location.”

The devil, it seems, is in the details. Rhomberg, who parted ways with Bows co-owner Olivia Coelho, will continue with the shop. Coelho, meanwhile is opening Witch House with musician / artist / house-show doyenne Liz Liles

Specifically, the Midtown space (1815 19th Street) that formerly housed Bows and Arrows will now be known as Witch House, while Bows and Arrows the retail operation, will re-emerge at another address later this summer.

Got it? Good.

In the meantime, those hungering to shop all things hip can visit the Bows pop-up shop collaboration with Juniper James; it’s housed at the Downtown Plaza (545 L Street, Ste 1047). and retail hours are Tuesday-Saturday, noon-6 p.m. More info here.
