Lurk and dance hard on Saturday night

The Lurk is right: The best lurking is done alone.

However, the one-man band from Davis has curated a lineup for a show at Third Space tomorrow night, Saturday, February 1 (946 Olive Drive in Davis), featuring himself, Third Space owner Lauren Cole Norton and Oakland’s Halcyonaire that should prove to be an appropriate activity for lurkers and drought sweaters alike, as the show is billed as Winter Drought Music.

And if the Lurk plays “Boots,” his countrified cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin',” or a playfully jangly “Home,” a cover of “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” by Talking Heads, it should get everyone in the place dancing. Rain dancing.

But don’t dance too much, guys—we don’t want the drought to be followed by a flood. Come on, now.
