Sacramento cops (the people) to be featured on COPS (the show)

COPS Show 2616 Airs Jan. 25th on SPIKE by COPSTV

If you’ve got absolutely nothing else going on this Saturday night—we won’t judge—you might want to click your remote to whatever channel Spike TV is on to check out the 2,616th episode of COPS, which, yes, is still a television show that people get paid to make.

Now I know what you’re about to say: “But Pageburner, why would I watch that long-in-the-tooth reality series starring shaky camera work, heavy breathing and out-of-shape guys running?”

Well, because dear reader, the January 25 episode will feature shaky camera work, heavy breathing and out-of-shape guys running IN SACRAMENTO.

Yes, according to a tweet from the Sacramento Police Department (@SacPolice), Sacramento cops are going to be on COPS doing cop stuff.

Here’s how COPS describes the episode on its website: “A fleeing vehicle goes for a spin when officers execute a perfect PIT maneuver. Cops try to flush out a suspect who barricades himself inside a donut shop. Officers hit the meth mother lode when they stop a truck in a downpour.”

Now I don’t know what a meth mother lode looks like, but I gotta admit I am kind of curious. Aren’t you?
