In little more than one week, Discovery Park will once again be flooded by an ocean of black cut-off T’s, shorts and denim as the West Coast’s largest hard rock festival returns for it’s 12th year.

From October 10th to 13th, the four-day festival, produced by Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP), will make history by bringing rock fans its biggest lineup yet with more than 130 bands scheduled to perform on five different stages. This year will mark the first moment of the newly added Soundwave Stage, which was essential to accommodate the festival’s every growing and unprecedented lineup. Fans will now be immersed by musical performances taking place in all corners of the park.

Headliners for this year’s festival include Slayer & Pantera (Thursday), Slipknot & Five Finger Death Punch (Friday), Iron Maiden & Judas Priest (Saturday), and Motley Crue & Disturbed (Sunday).  Additionally, the festival will be packed with highlights that will make it a metal occasion not to be missed!  Till Lindemann of Rammstein will perform one of his first solo shows in the U.S.  In addition to his own music, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine will perform RATM’s biggest hits.  Insane Clown Posse will perform its only remaining announced show of 2024.  To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘Leviathan’, Mastodon will play the classic album in full.  Marky Ramone of The Ramones will deliver all the band’s classic hits.  System Of A Down vocalist/guitarist Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway will perform their first gig since 2019 and one of only two performances this year.  The biggest name in deathcore, Lorna Shore, will meet the call of fans, by making one of their first DWP festival appearances in many years.  Shadows Fall will give its first performance since 2013.  Biohazard will drop new music with the band’s original lineup.  And Slayers’ return as one of the festival’s headliners will mark one of just three reunion performances.

Additional bands featured in the lineup will include Halestorm, Cypress Hill, Ministry, Evanescence, Dropkick Murphys, Anthrax, P.O.D., Staind, Rival Sons, Falling In Reverse, Skillet, and Flogging Molly.  The full 130+ band roster can be found at www.aftershockfestival.com or by downloading the 2024 Aftershock mobile app.  For the schedule of performances, just released (and subject to change), head to https://aftershockfestival.com/schedules.

Aftershock offers a variety of passes to meet any fan’s needs, but current inventory is quickly drying up.  Weekend VIP passes and all single day VIP passes (except Sunday) are currently sold out.  Single day General Admission, Weekend General Admission, and limited VIP passes are on sale now at https://aftershockfestival.com/passes/.  Don’t delay!  If history is any indication, the festival is likely to completely sell out by game time.  Festival gates open at 11:00 a.m. daily.
