Golden 1 Center played host to Snoop Dogg’s High School Reunion Tour on Friday, August 25th. The event drew a crowd large enough to sell out the downtown arena indicating that the legendary rapper still has his juice. Snoop brought a gang of performers to the stage that included DJ Drama, Berner, Warren G, Too $hort, and Wiz Khalifa. The rappers played for more than five hours at a volume high enough to blow out even the best 15” subs. Warren G let it ride with throwback hits from the golden age of hip hop. Too $hort reminded everyone about his favorite word, and Khalifa dazzled the crowd through his wizardry of cryo effects and psychedelic LED’s. When Snoop took the stage he rolled out in a classic lowrider and shot dollar bills at pole dancers with a toy uzi. He then dropped hit after hit showing everyone in attendance that you don’t need to be voted in high school to be most likely to succeed.
