The Snares to be featured at latest live podcast event supporting hometown journalism in Sacramento on October 21

The Snares

Band will be interviewed and perform at The Torch Club for Solving Sacramento’s ‘Creativity in the Capital’ podcast as special fundraiser

The Snares’ brand of California indie vibes meets drum-driven, psychedelic punk will be front-and-center for the upcoming Solving Sacramento live podcast event on Oct. 21. This electric evening, held at the seminal Torch Club in Downtown, is a fundraiser for the Solving Sacramento Journalism Collaborative, an organization that highlights local artists in the Capital City, as well as brings solutions-oriented coverage to news deserts in the area’s underserved neighborhoods.

Innovative and energetic, The Snares have been a draw at Sacramento venues like Café Colonial and Old Ironsides. Attendees at the Oct. 21 event will get to enjoy a free-flowing conversation between the band and the co-hosts of “Creativity in the Capital” podcasts inside Torch Club. After, The Snares will take to the Torch’s stage, treating the audience to a handful of songs that showcase why the band has become such a staple in Sacramento.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $25 and be purchased here. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Appetizers will be available as part of the ticket cost, and attendees can buy drink at the bar. The first 15 people to buy tickets will get a free Solving Sac tote bag (and more tote bags will be for sale for $25).

Founded in early 2022, Solving Sacramento aims to uplift the region’s local media ecosystem, by covering critical issues such as affordable housing/homelessness, economic equity, arts and culture, and the environment.
