A rainy stretch before opening day of the 2025 installment of Aftershock Festival left the grounds at Discovery Park sodden and muddy. Nevertheless, fans poured in undeterred, navigating puddles, soggy patches and slippery walkways to stake their spots. Not even the mud and drizzle could dampen rock fans’ enthusiasm. The energy was raw, enthusiastic and immediate. Bands hitting early sets were met with hardy, eager crowds ready to mosh, surf and scream along. The first day’s lineup included standout performances from Hoobastank, Taking Back Sunday, Testament, and Acid Bath. Blink-182 headlined the evening with a performance that tied together a day of high energy and memorable moments, and gave the crowd a satisfying finale to kick off the festivities.
