The Solving Sacramento journalism collaborative will host another live version of its Hangout Gigs, returning again to the tried-and-true Sacramento music escape of The Torch Club. This latest go-around with feature a conversation with, and performance by, the jazz/hip hop fusion powerhouse Cosmic Roots.
During the event, members of the band will sit down with radio personality Nick Brunner for a 30-minute interview to be aired on Solving Sacramento’s “Creativity in the Capital” podcast. After that, the Roots will perform some songs. There will be time for mingling, eating food on-hand and grabbing drinks from the bar. The event runs between 5 and 7 p.m.
