Come join us for beers, BBQ and a “Big Ideas” discussion about what downtown Sacramento should be like for the people who live there.
Suds & Solutions (and BBQ!) is the first in Solving Sacramento’s event series to highlight our diverse communities, challenging issues and innovative ways to improve quality of life in the region.
We’ll be talking with Danielle Foster, the new executive director of Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA), which manages and oversees development of properties on the Sacramento grid. Joining Danielle in conversation will be John Vignocchi, founder of Urban Capital, who is working with CADA on workforce housing and other residential projects downtown. They’ll talk about the creative ways they’re partnering up to build housing in the City of Sac, then take your questions.
The event happens Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at Taste Buds Barbeque in Sacramento. There will also be reporters and editors present from Solving Sacramento’s partner news outlets, which include SN&R, Sacramento Observer, Capital Public Radio, Sacramento Business Journal, Outward magazine and American Russian Media. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on telling our region’s stories.
