Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Slayer and Korn will headline the fifth annual Aftershock Festival. The city’s premier hard rock and metal festival is also arguably the city’s biggest weekend of music in general, drawing tens of thousands every year.
After a traffic-filled edition at Elverta’s Gibson Ranch last year, Aftershock will return to its original home of Discovery Park (1000 Garden Highway) Oct. 22-23.
Today, 32 acts were announced, including Primus, Disturbed, Meshuggah and Puscifer. Local band don’t usually make the bill, but 2016 Sammie Artist of the Year Some Fear None will perform on Sunday.
Early-bird tickets go on sale tomorrow at 12 p.m. here. A general admission weekend pass costs $149.50; single day goes for $89.50.
