Daily Show ridicules Sacramento Kings, DeMarcus Cousins over 'racist' Chinese New Year T-shirt fiasco

Thank you, new Daily Show.

Thank you for calling out the Sacramento Kings, for having my back.

Wha happen? On Monday, the Kings were going to hand out Chinese New Year T-shirts to everyone at Arco Arena. But, then, DeMarcus Cousins called the shirts racist, because of the the purple “year of the Monkey” image on them, and the fact that the Kings were passing them out on the first day of Black History Month. Hmm …

So, employees ran around pulling some 15,000 T-shirts from off of chairs about a half-hour before tip-off. Kings GM Chris Granger called the snafu a lesson in “sensitivity” for the organization. Hmm …

Anyway, enter Daily Show: Last night’s episode straight clowned the Kings and Cousins for the incident. Watch for yourself:

Rush Hour, baby!

Oh, and here’s shot of the contentious T-shirt … still waiting for one to pop up on eBay ….
