Deftones to play hometown festival // Chris Cuffaro
Sacramento’s Aftershock festival will be even bigger this year, with a new location and on-site camping.
Our very own Deftones will play along wish Slipknot, Faith No More, Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, Marilyn Manson, Stone Temple Pilots, Coheed and Cambria, Seether and many more metal and hard rock bands.
The fourth annual affair takes place October 24-25, quite a bit later than last year’s September edition. And instead of Discovery Park, look for Aftershock at Gibson Ranch in Elverta, the same location as City of Trees with Cake in August.
Also new this year will be live in-ring matches with WWE’s NXT Superstars. So. Um. Yeah.
Pre-sale discount tickets start going tomorrow at 10 a.m. here ($79.50), with regularly priced tickets going on sale June 1 ($114.50 weekend, $64.50 single day).
