One of Sacramento’s only independent electronics shops is closing on July 31.

Metro Electronics (1831 J Street) just posted notice of its liquidation sale: effective immediately, all merchandise is 25 percent off, with bigger discounts coming June 1.

“We have had a long history with the community and have forged many friendships and invaluable customers,” owners Ron and Vicki Mackintosh wrote in the announcement.
