Jackrabbit Brewing Company taproom opening Friday, April 3

West Sacramento brewery Jackrabbit Brewing Company has just about finished construction on its taproom and will open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 3, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.

They’ll join craft brewers Yolo Brewing Company and Bike Dog Brewing Company as the third beer business to open in West Sac in the past few years.

According to its website, Jackrabbit specializes in small-batch “Belgian, German and English” ales made in a “custom 5-barrel system.” It’ll have 10 beers on tap during its opening. It also operates its own hop farm, Jackrabbit Hop Farm, in the Sierra Foothlls.

According to Jackrabbit partner Ed Edsten, the taproom plans to have “saison and pub ale as well as some special new beers like our oatmeal stout, IPA and Rabid Rabbit” on tap for the opening. Check out Jackrabbit’s Facebook and Twitter pages for lots of pictures of hops and kegs and more details about their beer selection. The taproom is located at 1323 Terminal Street in West Sacramento—just down the street from Yolo Brewing Company, and only about a half-mile walk from Bike Dog.
