REVIEW: The Hangtown Halloween Ball was a crazy costume party!

The third annual Hangtown Halloween Ball took place at the Placer County Fairgrounds last weekend. The perfect fall weather was highlighted by the brilliant array of almost 30 diverse acts. A great variety of sounds permeated the air during the four-day event—including bluegrass, funk, reggae, hip-hop, rock, soul, punk and straight-up twang. Festival fans and bands alike arrived in costume and all seemed to immensely enjoy the camping, cameraderie and all-night partying.
