Join Us at Thunder Valley Casino starting at 9:00pm until 1:00am on Friday December 18th 2009!

The group is being featured December 18th at the Casino Stage at 1200 Athens Ave in Lincoln , California starting at 9:00pm. Be sure to stop by for a great Friday night Party!

Jerry Martini (Member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame)
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Jerry Martini, aka Papa J is the original founder of Sly & the Family Stone; calling upon Sly Stone to become the leader of the first inter-racial, multi-gender major American Band. He has also performed with countless luminaries including Mike Bloomfield, Carlos Santana, Rolling Stone Bill Wymann, Robert Cray, Willie Lomax, Prince, Graham Central Station, and Van Morrison. He is avid in horn arrangements as well as song writing including "One With the Sun" on Santanas "Barbaletta album among others. Through the millenial New Years, he, along with Cynthia Robinson and Larry Graham, played with Prince on his 1999/2000 New Years Pay Per View special "Rave Un2 2000" capping "The Jam of the Year" tour taking them worldwide through Europe and The US to over 50 stops. More Recently he has been seen on the 2006 Grammy Awards with a cast of all stars in their tribute to Sly & The Family Stone.

Frankie Sorci (Keyboard and Vocals)
Frankie started playing piano at the age of four, had his first group at the age of 13 and started playing for monetary gain at the age of 15. Nightclubs were on the agenda at the age of 18 and with the help of a penciled in moustache he was able to gain entrance to most of the clubs in the Sacramento area. 20 was the age to hit the road. Frankie stayed on the road for the next 13 years doing what he loved, playing music. He started in the Nevada Circuit but graduated to playing every corner of the United States. Seattle to Santa Monica, Buffalo to Marco Beach, Toronto to Scottsdale working with groups of new , old and no fame, and it was all fun! When Music gets in your blood it will be there forever, and its good!

Brian Hack on Guitar and Vocals
A Sacramento based musician who spent years playing club venues as a lead guitarist & lead singer, after doing years of road gigs in California hotel chains and the Nevada Casino circuit, Brian and Frank formed their own group "Madison Avenue." Under the BMI affiliation, Brian completed five recording projects with former members. Brian attributes his music career to years of being influenced by Blues Guitarist and friend Mr. Robben Ford.

Russ Martinez (Drums and Percussion)
Russ started playing drums when his dad bought him a set of bongos at age seven after visiting Tijuana. To his parents dread, he never stopped. At fifteen his first band Reign opened the show at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento for Steppen Wolf and Three Dog Night, he was hooked. He played the club circuit in the Sacramento Valley from age 17 until he finally opened his own night club, The Bitter Creek Tavern in 1977. Bitter Creek was a musicians venue, large stage, lights and a house sound system designed to showcase some of the best bands in Northern California. In 1981 he started playing and touring with the Rutabaga Boogie Band. After he sold the club in 1985 he continued to play with the Rutabaga's until 2006. He's now re-energized and excited to be working with Jerry Martini and our current project.

Get started with a fun practice that will transform your life. These energizing classes with Bill explore the basics of hatha yoga practice in a relaxed, non-competitive setting. We explain enough of the basics that newcomers with no yoga experience feel welcome but offer variations on the standard work to keep more experienced students challenged.

You can start anytime as as Bill's classes are ongoing. Just pick a day and show up a few minutes early. Come once a week or more often. The changes you'll experience in your body and mind are proportional to the amount of time you invest in the practice.

We start with what you can do today and let the practice evolve gradually. We do a reasonable amount of work in these classes so that there will constantly be new adventures and challenges. But we also have fun and and enjoy the practice.

In mixed level classes like these we're always suggesting modifications for beginners but also offering challenging variations appropriate for more experienced students.

Each class is structured as a balanced workout including work on all the major groups of poses including forward folds, twists, inverted poses, arm balances, backbends and more. We also include practice on breathwork and meditation techniques.

Child Care-Rosemont Area

I am a licensed Child Care provider. I have been in the business for 12 years now. I enjoy my job and love all my kids. Most of my Children are from word of mouth. I get many referrals from others and have excellent references. I have seen many infants and children come in, grow up and leave the nest.

Hours of operation are from 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
I am now accepting children ages 0mo -5 years old
Each infant has their own sleeping room to assure peace and quiet.

I have an assistant and we work well together with the children. We do a variety of age appropriate activities. My philosophy is to prepare the children for life and its many challenges. My helper and I are very self motivated people. My Daycare is very well organized each and ever day. We keep the children busy and focused on learning.

Some of the things that we focus on are:
Colors/shapes
Field Trips/walking distance
Singing
Blocks
Walking adventures
Fun Work
Puzzles
Bug exploring
Arts/Crafts
Dance
Water play
Roll model playing
Games
Dress up
Exercising
Etc.

My goal; to care for, educate, and make a difference in the life of a child. I have been in the business of childcare for over ten years and I believe that children crave constant stimulation from their environment and interactions with their caretaker, so that is my daily goal!

We focus on their mental and physical ability to do certain tasks. Every child is at a different level. We build from their weaknesses and improve their strengths. We work out of the School Zone Publishing company books and do Homework each day. The children really look forward to it, it’s a challenge for them and they are willing and eager to take it. Our day is fun and filled with projects.

The children are all well behaved and get along great! We have a really fun time here and look forward to new friends. My Assistant and I always keep a positive attitude with the children.

I have a very large play area in the house with lots of toys and play structures; as well as outside in the yard. I also have two big caged bunnies outside, floppy and Spot that the kids love to feed and talk to.

We look forward to new friends to come and have fun with us! If you are interested in joining our daily adventure, please call me. I would love to hear from you.

Thank You so much,
Bear Bear Child Care
