Job DescriptionPosition Title: Project ManagerClassification: ExemptLocation: Rancho/Corporate OfficeReports to: John Brentt Position Summary: As a Project Manager at SunSystem Technology, you will be assigned projects to be completed to the highest degree of quality and customer satisfaction. You will be charged with managing two installation crews, coordinating all aspects of the installation, documenting each phase of the installation, continually communicating with the homeowner or project provider, and completing installs in a timely manner. Job Description: Help customers receive the highest quality residential PV installation in the industry Coordinate and work with Provider and or provider to obtain the approval of local jurisdictional authorities, utilities, and home owner associations to obtain necessary permits for project completion Work with utility department and or AHJ to schedule power disconnect/reconnect and pre-installation inspections required to perform PV installations and main service panel swaps/upgrades. Review plan sets and work with project coordinators to obtain BOM’s and BOS’s and submit to procurement. Approve for submission to procurement department and, shipping/receiving, and staging of materials with Warehouse Manager Reserve and coordinate any equipment or tools needed to complete installation Manage coordination of all work and required inspections with Homeowner and available staff to assign staffing in a timely and professional manner Manage Installation Schedule at least three weeks out always Manage Coordinator in: Assigning installation crew(s) and Electrician to project and hold preconstruction meeting with Foreman and Electrician to identify requirements or obstacles needed to be addressed to complete the project Document every aspect of every phase of the project in the company Computer Resource Manager (CRM), Sharepoint, to provide extensive data to be used to improve the installation process Maintain constant communication with Project Foreman and aid, materials, and equipment as needed Maintain constant communication with the Homeowner and/or Project Provider providing updates and projections Coordinate any in progress inspections and final inspections for any work completed on site Collect and report installation findings (photos and notes) to the CRM Prepare photo logs with proper labeling scheme required by project providers or finance partners Submit findings to the Residential Installation Manager for review Manage timely completion of PTO with utilities and manage coordinators to ensure we provide finance partners and other entities with required closeout documentation. Collect and report all expenses and timecards to department Administrator Assistant Follow up with homeowner about the overall experience and seek ways to improve process Position Requirements: Ability to adapt to different personalities 3-5 years related Solar experience Proven ability to work independently and make good decisions based on given information. Ability to prioritize, and manage time effectively within a rapidly dynamic work environment Detail-oriented, resourceful in completing tasks, and able to multi-task effectively Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point Knowledge of purchasing, job costing and project accounting systems Positive attitude and the ability to follow through.
