Job DescriptionFTD Companies, Inc. is seeking a Technology Sales Representative to sell a host of technology products, with an emphasis on selling FTD's Mercury Point of Sales (an all inclusive system for florists) to retail florists in the West Coast Region of the United States. You will be able to combine your keen hunter mentality to attract new business opportunities as well as your refined account management/relationship building skills in this exciting sales opportunity. Since we offer a competitive base salary and uncapped incentive opportunity, you will want to explore this opportunity to manage your territory to maximize compensation opportunity while developing long lasting relationships with our floral members!You will be home based residing in a major city in California (preferably Los Angeles) with easy access to an airport for travel to other states in the West Coast. 75% of your travel will be within your home state of California.What We Look For:Bachelors degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience; three plus years' sales experience; previous experience with florists or the floral industry is a plus.Technical skills: PC proficiency (MS Office) with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Windows Operating system.Ability to multi task, manage conflict, and be adaptable are essential for success in this position.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with engaging, rapport building telephone skills.Hunter mentality with a good balance of account management skillsThoughtful, territory planning/management (with 50% travel within assigned West Coast states).Heavy (60-80 ) outbound prospecting phone calling on "in office" Mondays!High level of integrity and professional sales skills.Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets (roughly $800-$900K annually).What You Will Do:Perform sales of FTDs Mercury and all other Mercury line of technology solutions/systems via face-to-face sales, phone solicitation and demonstration at conventions and trade fairs.Demonstration of all FTD technology solutions/systems in support of FTD's Field Business Consultant (FBCs) generated opportunities.Consult and recommend the appropriate technology that meets the florists needs, including: multi-user, multi-location and networking solutions operating on Windows operating environments.Prepare a detailed quote, including financing, for hardware, software, installation and training for each specific florist and associated locations seeking a technology solution/system.Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while meeting with florists and attending conventions and trade shows.Train other FTD staff in FTD technology products.Position requires as much as 50% travel.Perform other duties as assignedWhat You Can Expect From Us:Competitive Base Salary Along with Uncapped Commission OpportunityCompany Car and Per DiemSupport from a Strong LeaderExcellent Total Rewards ProgramGrowth Opportunities in a large, well established dynamic companyFTD Companies, Inc. is a premier floral and gifting company with a vision to be the leading and most trusted floral and gifting company in the world.The FTD Mission Statement: To inspire, support and delight our customers when expressing life's most important sentiments.The FTD Vision Statement: To be the leading and most trusted floral and gifting company in the world.
