AGENCY DESCRIPTION Mission Statement: Empower Yolo's mission is to promote safe, healthy, and resilient communities. Empower Yolo's purpose is to provide: (a) Twenty-four hour crisis intervention, emergency shelter, confidential counseling, training, legal assistance, and other services for individuals and families persons affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse; (b) Resource centers for community services to improve the health, social, educational and economic outcomes of Yolo County residents; and (c) Community outreach and educational programs about available resources to promote health, stability, and self-sufficiency for individuals and families. All services are to be provided in a manner that appreciates, enhances, and utilizes the strengths of Empower Yolo's clients and honors their cultural practices and traditions. Visit Empower Yolo job descriptions for more information 1) Director of Clinical Programs - The Director of Clinical Programs will have primary responsibility for directing, managing and supervising the staff of the Therapy Department. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position will function as a part of the center's management team. Experience in the field of domestic violence and sexual assault psychotherapy preferred. Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required. 2) Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Therapist Intern - Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Programs, the DV/SA Therapist will provide specialized clinical services to adults who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Services will include but not be limited to, assessment, individual and group therapy, case management, resource and referral, and crisis intervention. 3) Client Navigator Specialized Housing Program - The Client Navigator will provide survivor‐driven advocacy, trauma‐informed assessment, and case management to homeless crime victims and their families. This will include crisis intervention; risk & needs assessment; safety planning; on‐going case management; short and long-term housing placement and navigation services. Referrals will come via court, law enforcement, social services, community based agencies, the District Attorney's office and through walk‐ins. The Client Navigator will work closely with The District Attorney's Office and Shores of Hope as well as local law enforcement, multiple court and government systems as well as many community based organizations. This position will rotate between Woodland, Davis and West Sacramento. 4) Night and Weekend Shelter Advocate - Act as a support person to shelter residents during the nights or weekends. Provides crisis intervention, peer counseling, risk assessment, conflict resolution to adults and children residing at the Empower Yolo Safehouse.
