Job Description:/h3:
Job Summary: Demonstrate good leadership, communication, and writing skills. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Oasis to develop optimal level of patient care under physician orders. Oversee patient care provided by clinical staff through medical record review, home visits and
orientation/education and enforce the policies and procedures of the agency. Follows Medicare and Medicaid regulations set forth by the federal government. Follow state and federal laws as applicable and mandated. Support clinical managers and intake staff as back up RN manager, when needed.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
1. Be a registered nurse (R.N.).
2. A quality, education and compliance coordinator shall be a registered nurse with two years experience within the last five years in a Medicare certified home health agency, with preference for Joint Commission experience.

Responsibilities/essential job functions: must be able to perform the following essential job functions : with or without reasonable accommodations.

1. A quality, education and compliance coordinator shall have sufficient background knowledge and expertise in clinical decision:making for the patient population in the home health agency to contribute to Quality Management review and evaluation.
2. Demonstrate ability to relate positively and favorably with patients and staff.
3. Demonstrate good oral and written communication along with good documentation skills.
4. Demonstrate efficient teamwork with the staff.
5. Demonstrate competence and knowledge of OASIS and Medicare data integrity regulations*
6. Understand the admission process plan of care.
7. Supervise quality LVN. *
8. Provide in:service education per DPCS direction.
9. Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, and self:studies in areas that will enhance position (e.g. leadership, communication, geriatric care, and pediatric care).
10. Follow Medicare and Medicaid regulations. *
11. Monitor patient care and services through ongoing chart review and focused audits.*
12. Complete audits timely.
13. Educate clinicians on disease process, medications, plan of care, and treatment plans according to the policy and procedure manual. *
14. Follow infection control policy in and out of the office. *
15. Participate in the on:call schedule, as needed. *
16. Coordinate quality improvement program, infection prevention and monitoring program, risk management tracking and compliance audits and oversight.
17. Oversee the Nurse Orientation process and be a preceptor/trainer to new hires.
18. Provide support to intake to obtain MD orders and review medical issues.
19. Provide ongoing education to nurses at team meetings, ride alongs and annual skills day.
20. Do patient visits on days where operational demands require coverage for RNs.
