The Payroll Coordinator compiles and maintains payroll records by performing the following duties.Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employers social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededOne year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability concepts of basic algebra and geometry.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Payroll systems; EXCEL Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Typing 45+ WPMAvailable Shift: Monday : Friday Compensation: The pay range for this position is 12.00 : 15.00 per hour
