**Available Labor Day weekend! Now scheduling for Sunday and Monday**

Hello, I'm Nate, a handyman in the Sacramento area with lots of experience replacing broken and leaning fences. I have examined a TON of old falling down fences, helped build many new ones, and I've learned a few things about what can go wrong or right:

**Markup or Discount Supplies: Some contractors give you an inflated price for the lumber and supplies, and/or use cheaper discount supplies that are poor quality. I let you choose the exact lumber you want, and pay for it yourself so you know what you're getting. Or, I can buy the supplies that day and show you the receipt. No markup, no cheap lumber, just the real thing.

**Lumber: Yes, your fence posts are rotting at the base because they were built with cheap lumber (see above). I use pressure-treated posts and rails, which are designed to resist rotting and stand strong for years to come.

**Brackets: Most fence builders attach the rails to the fence posts by nailing at an angle through the corner of the rail boards (aka "tow-nailing"). This is a fast way to build, but actually splits the lumber, weakens it, and makes it rot faster. Instead, I use metal brackets that hold the rails in place solidly, without splitting the boards at the end.

**Screws: Nails are fast, but screws are strong. I use coated deck screws for the entire fence, which hold boards together better, resist rust, and make future repairs much easier.

**Price: You would think that all of these improvements would add to the cost of the fence, but in reality I can build you a much better fence for about the same cost (or less) than most fencing companies. As an unlicensed contractor, my operating expenses are low, and I can only accept jobs under $500. My fences generally cost $20 per foot for labor, and $15 per foot for supplies, so you end up paying $35 per foot.

Get a sturdy high-quality fence for your money, from a locally-owned small business with roots in the community! I'm flexible, can handle unique jobs, and often have same-day or next-day availability. Text or call me to get your free estimate and find out more: (916) 709-3073
