The California High-Speed Rail program will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2029, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.The RoleThe California High Speed Rail Authority has awarded WSP USA the Program Management role within the Rail Delivery Partners (RDP) program delivery team. As a result, we have an immediate opportunity for an IT QA Specialist, reporting into the executive team for the program, located in Sacramento, CA. Key responsibilities include:Develop and execute test plans and testing strategies using automated testing tools, based on software requirements, technical specifications, and consultation with IT team membersCreate test cases, test data, matrices, and other QA-related documentsCommunicate with developers, product managers, and technical support specialists on critical issuesPerform functional tests on software deliverables.The RequirementsBachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer ScienceAt least five years of experience in IT QA using automated testing tools, preferably in a setting delivering solutions to large transportation infrastructure projectsReporting and presentations to the senior program leadership teamStrong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skillsThe ability to work in the United States immediately, local candidates preferredWSP offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and more.
