The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is:
SunPower is seeking a Commissioning Technician to provide system activation, monitoring installation/commissioning and performance verification testing support for residential systems. The ideal candidate has significant experience and understanding in the design and installation of residential PV systems.
:Install and Commission Monitoring System (SMS).
:Troubleshoot and repair all components associated with solar installation
:Working directly with customers providing orientations and walk through on system activation
:Perform system inspection to very performance and operation
:Working safely and in accordance with industry standard safety requirements
:Complete assigned training and qualification requirements within a specified time frame, including meeting or exceeding minimum test score requirements.
:Perform other duties assigned including procedure development, reviews and revision.
:Prioritizing work orders and escalations
:Extensive hands:on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PV systems; a minimum of two years of PV installation experienceis required
:Comfortable in a fast paced field environment; organized and be able to meet aggressive timelines
:Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); particularly in a customer:facing environment
:Excellent customer service skills required; ability to demonstrate a responsive, customer service approach to listening and responding to requests.
:Experience reading and interpreting electrical, I and C, and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
:Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Additional Skills and Requirements
:Minimum education : High school graduate or GED.
:OSHA 10 and CPR qualification a plus
:Ability to analyze operating data and identify anomalies.
:Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, architectural or electrical drawing, or schedule form.
:Be able to inspect and work on maintenance activities in outdoor areas without handicap access.
:Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands to dexterously maneuver small parts in confined spaces, such as wires, screws, and various components within elect
