Our client is looking for a Biometrics Software Architect in the Sacramento area. This will be a 12 month contract-to-hire opportunity.Our client is an industry leader in supplying biometrics enabled products and solutions to public and enterprise markets. They are looking for an experienced software architect with experience in customized application development for public and enterprise markets in both public safety and public convenience technology domains. This is an opportunity to deliver innovative biometrics enabled solutions to the global market.They are looking for individuals with an integration background, and is willing to execute multiple projects concurrently. Individuals with ability to interact with solution engineers, customers, gather/analyze requirements, and work closely with cross functional teams to deliver projects are encouraged to apply. Industry-specific knowledge and experience in Automated Fingerprint or Multi-modal Identification Solutions (AFIS or ABIS or MBIS), transactional systems, workflows, digital archive, fingerprint, iris and facial identification solutions, multi-modal biometrics solutions, IoT and federated solutions is preferred. Qualifications and responsibilities : Minimum 5 years' experience in successive career progress from development to software architectExpertise in software and application design and architecture. Knowledge of UML and other modeling methodsExperience in delivering quality IT solutions by providing a framework for developers and cross functional teamsTechnical expertise in Java/J2EE, .NET, C++,C#, Jboss, JBPM, Apache, Oracle, MS SQL, and related technologies. Familiarity with TFS, Subversion, Jenkin, Maven, ANT or similar tools is a plusInterface with key project stakeholders like management, cross functional team leadership, offshore and onsite teams, R&D, customers and project managers is requiredAbility to face customers, understand requirements, perform demonstrations, participate in pre-sales and post-sales support is requiredKnowledge of biometrics based identification, investigation and intelligence solution preferredStrong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills requiredPrior experience in tier-one system integration companies is a plus Education: Bachelor's degree is requiredMaster's degree or equivalent experience is preferredCompany Description:Randstad is a $22.5 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world.
