Job Description Data Entry (Case Processor) Position We are looking for a personable, sharp, detail-oriented person to be responsible for entering data into our custom case management system (FileMaker) and to process and archive electronic documents in a document management system. May also assist with a wide range of administrative assistance and support such as scanning, phones, filing, copying, collating, etc., to facilitate the efficient operation of the law office and maintaining hardcopy legal files. This position is a full-time office support position. Remote access is not an option. Duties Perform data entry Perform mail triage – paper and electronic Read and classify documents for filing Oversee of data entry accuracy Filing Assist in other functions when assigned area is not busy Qualifications – Required (May be tested) Proficient typing skills (+35 WPM) Proficient in Outlook and word processing Understand file folder structure Strong organizational skills Accuracy and attention to detail Technologically savvy and working knowledge of Windows operating system Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with public and staff Office experience High school diploma Ability to lift 30 pounds Qualifications – Desirable Computer proficiency of Word Perfect Computer proficiency of Office 365 Computer proficiency of FileMaker Associate degree or some college experience Key Competencies Maintain confidentiality of case documents and/or information as a member of a legal office Flexible and good stress tolerance for multi-tasking and time management Positive and cooperative working style including ability and willingness to learn new skills Reliable, punctual and other good work habits Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form Company Description We are a not-for-profit legal office serving the Third and Fifth District Courts of Appeal since 1987. Our small but dedicated staff is committed to the success of the office in meeting the contract for services with our courts. Teamwork and integrity make it a great place to work. As a result, our turnover rate is low. Our office is currently transitioning to greater use of electronic files and less paper. This new support member position will be vital to handling, organizing, and archiving the e-documents we receive.
