Reporting to the CFO, and working closely with senior leaders and investors, the VP, Finance, is charged with empowering the company to achieve financial objectives and managing operational and financial processes. The individual holding this position must understand the operations of the business and how the financial system, capital structure, debt financing and cash management all interrelate. The right candidate will be able to determine what "has happened" and will determine "what is going to happen". This individual will guide the development of a financial strategy to include revenue, profit and cash flow maximization including the coordination of the company's annual planning process., * Manage internal financial and business reporting to provide management with timely and useful information to facilitate business decisions and drive business performance. * Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts and other ad-hoc financial projects. * Prepare and monitor the company's long-range strategic planning models. * Proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes. Benchmark performance against competition when available and identify business, financial trends, and variances to plan * Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for the monthly and quarterly financial review meetings. * Lead company's annual strategic planning and budgeting process and quarterly forecasting * Consultants. * Help build out the tools for how financial information is distributed. Define financial and operational metrics of the company. * Develop visibility tools to reduce costs, reduce cycle time, to produce high-quality financial information. Using standard financial techniques (ROI, NPV, FCF analysis, operating margins, payback period) and knowledge of the industry, provide analysis that identifies and answers key strategic issues within the business units. * Build a business partner-oriented Finance and Accounting team and establish strong business partner relationships with each functional department head. * Mentoring and developing members of the Finance team. * Build relationships and partnerships across departments to thoroughly understand how all the pieces fit together, how information is used and can be used by various functions within the business. * Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of finance-related issues. * Build strong executive partnerships and maintain significant interaction with the CEO and the executive team. * Develop a core understanding of business and products. * Oversee stock option administration. Manage the capitalization table and process. * Develop and enhance competitive intelligence, customer intelligence, geographic economic data and technology trends. * Act as key advisor to the CFO, CEO and other company executives.* Strong business acumen and judgment in a software technology environment * Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections * Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, rolling budgets, and profitability analysis * Ability to solve problems and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment * Experience dealing with and presenting to senior leaders and Board of Directors * Strong results orientation and accountability * Strong cross-functional business systems, policy and process skills * Effective at building relationships across and at all levels of the company, gaining respect of others * Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills * Ability to influence peers, hold them accountable and gain alignment across functions * Provide positive and effective leadership within finance * Engage others to meet the company's financial and business objectives Required: * 5+ years of progressive financial leadership and reporting experience * Subscription business model, or SaaS, or eCommerce industry experience * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
